Strategic Partners is seeking an experienced and proactive Formulation Manager<\/strong> on behalf of our client, a company dedicated to developing innovative pharmaceutical solutions for special patient populations. The ideal candidate will lead the research and development of oral liquid formulations<\/strong>\u2014primarily addressing the needs of pediatric, geriatric, and dysphagic patients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This strategic role encompasses formulation development, technology transfer, vendor coordination, and CMC documentation. The Formulation Manager will work cross-functionally with Regulatory Affairs, Quality, and Business Development teams to bring patient-centric products from concept to market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Key Responsibilities<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Formulation & Product Development<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  • Lead the development of oral liquid dosage forms (solutions, suspensions, emulsions, drops, etc.).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Design stable, user-friendly formulations for special populations (pediatric, geriatric).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Supervise lab-scale and pilot-scale batches; interpret analytical and stability data.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Oversee process development, scale-up, and technology transfer to CDMOs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Author and review reports for Module 3 (Quality) and related technical documentation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Project & Outsourcing Management<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      \n
    • Manage all R&D stages from early development to Marketing Authorization submission.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Develop and maintain project timelines and budgets.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Coordinate with external partners including formulators, CROs, and CDMOs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Collaborate with bioequivalence study providers to align formulation requirements.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      Regulatory & Quality Support<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

        \n
      • Partner with Regulatory Affairs to support CMC dossier sections and technical justifications.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Ensure compliance with GMP, ICH, EMA, and pharmacopoeial guidelines.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Support Quality Assurance in investigations and documentation related to development and transfer activities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

        Scientific Leadership & Innovation<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

          \n
        • Track industry developments in oral liquid formulations and suggest innovations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Evaluate excipients, delivery systems, and formulation strategies for differentiation and IP positioning.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Collaborate with Business Development on product positioning strategies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

          Candidate Profile & Qualifications<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

          \u2714 Education:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

            \n
          • BSc or MSc in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • Postgraduate specialization in formulation development or industrial pharmacy is highly desirable.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

            \u2714 Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

              \n
            • At least 5 years of R&D experience in the oral liquid pharmaceutical sector.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            • Proven hands-on experience in formulation, scale-up, and CMC documentation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            • Project management experience working with CDMOs and CROs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

              \u2714 Skills & Competencies:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

                \n
              • Deep understanding of oral liquid formulation science, excipients, and stability challenges.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
              • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
              • Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Greek.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
              • Familiarity with regulatory and quality documentation requirements.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
              • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with project management tools is a plus.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
