Quality Assurance Manager / Athens

Strategic Partners, on behalf of a dynamic and fast-growing pharmaceutical company based in Athens, is seeking to recruit a highly skilled Quality Assurance Manager to lead and oversee quality operations and ensure regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of quality systems and processes in alignment with GMPGDP, and ICH standards.
  • Lead and coordinate daily operations of the QA department, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in task execution.
  • Safeguard product quality across the entire lifecycle—from R&D to manufacturing and final product release.
  • Organize and conduct internal audits, and actively support external inspections and third-party assessments.
  • Act as Qualified Person (QP) for batch release, ensuring alignment with approved product specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in the investigation of quality deviations and incidents, and support effective CAPA implementation.
  • Maintain quality performance indicators and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Review and approve all GMP-relevant documents such as deviations, CAPAs, SOPs, validation protocols, and change controls.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Regulatory Affairs, Production, Supply Chain) to uphold compliance and meet quality targets.


Candidate Profile & Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance within the pharmaceutical sector.
  • At least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering; a Master’s in Quality Management or a related field is considered a plus.
  • Solid knowledge of GMP, GDP, and ICH guidelines and practices.
  • Prior experience as a Qualified Person (QP) is highly desirable.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication abilities.
  • Hands-on experience in audits and quality systems management.
  • Fluency in both Greek and English (spoken and written).
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office and familiar with electronic Quality Management Systems (eQMS).
  • Strong attention to detail, proactive mindset, and ability to manage tight deadlines.
